OUR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
In order to achieve this overall goal, Ascorium focuses primarily on the following three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs:
INDUSTRY, INNOVATION, AND INFRASTRUCTURE
We create robust infrastructure, encourage inclusive, sustainable industrialization, and drive innovation.
Specifically this means that all our new product developments are based on increased recycled and bio content, and are targeting applications where lower weight and lower carbon footprint is key. (SDG 9)
RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION
We promote sustainable consumption and production.
In concrete terms: We develop technology focusing on less material usage, e. g. Direct Back Moulding (DBM), weight reduction such as in CompoLite, and more sustainable logistics through plant-in-plant production. (SDG 12)
CLIMATE ACTION
We urgently address climate change and its impacts.
For us, that means: We will use 100 % carbon neutral electricity by the end of 2024. (SDG 13)
